Super Smoothies

Smoothies are a great way to increase the daily amount and variety of fresh veggies and fruits that you and your family consume. These delicious smoothies are the perfect way to re-energize, calm bodily inflammation, hydrate your systems and boost your nutrition. You ’ll be able to give your entire body what it needs with real, whole, nutritious food. These smoothies tastes good and can make you look and feel amazing ;).

Purple Performance Smoothie 

2 servings

3 oz. raw beetroot (peeled)
1 tbsp. dried sour cherries (goji) or sour cherry powder
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1 ripe banana
1 tbsp. hemp seeds or hemp protein powder
1/2-1 tsp. fresh ginger (grated) or ¼-½ tsp. ground ginger
1 1/2 cups of almond milk (or preferred unsweetened milk)
1-2 tbsp. lemon juice

Chop or grate the beetroot and put all ingredients in a blender. Blend on high speed until completely smooth. You can add more ginger or lemon juice to adjust the sourness or spiciness.

Mango, Goji Berry  & Turmeric Smoothie 

2 servings

1 peeled and chopped orange
1 cup frozen mangoes
cup dried goji berries
1/2 -1 tsp. grated fresh ginger or ¼-½ tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. grated fresh turmeric or ½ tsp. ground turmeric
1 cup carrot juice or brown rice milk
Pinch black pepper
2 tbsp. black chia seeds

Blend all of the ingredients except the chia seeds on high speed until completely smooth. Pour into two medium-sized glasses and stir in chia seeds. Serve chilled.

Spinach Orange Smoothie

1  orange, peeled
1/2 banana, peeled
1 cup tightly packed organic spinach
1/4 cup coconut water, adjusted as desired
1 tablespoon hemp seeds, optional


Add all ingredients to a blender with a few ice cubes and blend on high to combine.
Add more coconut water as desired to reach desired consistency for smoothie.
Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Since all of these ingredients are available year round, you’ll be able to enjoy this spinach orange smoothie whenever you want. However, as different types of orange come into season throughout the year, try using those instead of regular navel oranges to switch things up a bit.
