This post-workout smoothie contains the perfect combination of vitamins, minerals and electrolytes that your body needs to replenish and recover after an intense training session.
- 1 celery stalk
- 1 frozen banana (or unfrozen)
- 1 handful of spinach (you can add any other leafy green instead)
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger or 1/2 teaspoon of fresh ginger
- 8 oz coconut water
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- Optional – Add a tablespoon of favorite protein powder.
Celery contains anti-inflammatory properties and is a great source of sodium. Bananas are high in potassium and spinach is high in magnesium. Together with the hydrating coconut water and protein of your choice it makes a delicious and great post-sweat smoothie.
